Carlson Hotels Worldwide Selects the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution as Cornerstone for Its Harmony Plus Technology Platform

Columbia, MD November 1, 2005 MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Carlson Hotels Worldwide will continue and expand its long-standing partnership with MICROS by selecting the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution to power the property management functionality of Harmony Plus, Carlsons technology platform for its global hotel brands--Regent International Hotels, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, and Park Inn.
MICROS is excited to expand its partnership with Carlson Hotels Worldwide, stated Tom Giannopoulos, Chairman and CEO of MICROS Systems, Inc. MICROS-Fidelio V6 was a strong foundation for the Harmony system, and MICROS OPERA will be even stronger as the new generation of Harmony Plus is deployed throughout the world.

The full OPERA system will be used in Carlsons three full service brands, Regent, Radisson, and Park Plaza, and a simpler, scaled down version called OPERA Xpress will be used by Carlsons select service brands, Country Inns & Suites and Park Inn. Carlson is currently rolling out Harmony Plus to its new hotels, and all existing hotels will convert to Harmony Plus by the end of 2007.
