DataFlux Unveils Enhanced Data Management Capabilities via Web Services
Support for Web Services Offers Delivery Option for Enterprise Implementations
CARY, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 2004--DataFlux(R) Corporation, a leading provider of data management solutions, today announced the availability of expanded data management functionality via Web services. By providing more functionality through a Web services platform, DataFlux customers can utilize a more flexible, cost-efficient way to inspect, correct, integrate, improve and control corporate data.
DataFlux initially introduced support for Web services in mid-2003. With the recent introduction of Release 6.2 technology, DataFlux expanded its Web services options and now allows customers to access its full suite of data management capabilities through Web-based connectivity. The DataFlux Web services framework allows companies to integrate DataFlux technology into any enterprise applications that support Web services.
"Utilizing DataFlux technology within a Web services environment is a natural extension of DataFlux dfIntelliServer(TM), a real-time data correction and improvement solution," said Scott Gidley, senior director of research and development and co-founder of DataFlux. "By embracing a Web-based architecture, our customers can use their existing infrastructure to expand data management processes throughout - and beyond - the enterprise."
New and existing DataFlux customers can deploy the technology using Web services behind the firewall for seamless integration with third-party CRM, ERP or other business solutions. DataFlux Web services connectivity supports leading standards, including Web Services Description Language (WSDL); Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP); Universal Description, Discovery and Integration protocol (UDDI); and J2EE-based application servers for Java support.
Customers can also utilize a hosted version of DataFlux address verification and enhanced contact information components for external use through StrikeIron, a DataFlux partner. StrikeIron has integrated DataFlux Web-based technology and exposed this functionality as a Web service for customer data management within a "pay-for-click" framework that is available through the StrikeIron Web site at www.strikeiron.com.
"The availability of Web services technology is a boon for companies that want to maximize their investment by minimizing the risks associated with traditional software licensing," said Bob Brauer, vice president of business development and co-founder of StrikeIron. "Through our agreement with DataFlux, we can provide easy access to the industry's leading data management solutions within a low-cost, always-on environment."
