Symantec Offers Webcast on Security and Data Management

CUPERTINO, Calif. - April 10, 2006 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced it will host a webcast outlining the Security and Data Management Group's technology portfolio and product initiatives. The one-hour webcast will be held Monday, April 17, 2006 at 10 a.m. PT.
Jeremy Burton, Symantec senior vice president, enterprise security and data management, will lead the webcast. The presentation will discuss evolving customer needs, the current threat and compliance landscape, and how Symantec is addressing these markets. The prepared remarks will be followed by a question and answer session.

This is a Web teleconference, with audio available by phone and slides available through a Web conferencing platform. Participants will have the opportunity to view the webcast and the replay over the Internet through Symantecs Investor Relations Web site at www.symantec.com/invest.
